How do I shut down my solar power system?

Follow these steps to safely shut down your solar power system: Locate your main switchboard or meter box. Find the switch labeled “ Solar Supply Main Switch ” or similar. Flip this switch to the “ Off ” position. If your inverter is more than 3 meters away from the switchboard, locate the “ Solar AC Isolator ” near the inverter and turn it off.

The first thing that must be done is to turn off the AC side. In order to do this, you must go to the meter box and switch off the AC inverter main supply. After that you must turn off the AC breaker. From that moment, your PV system will stop delivering energy to the grid.
